Міжфракційне об’єднання «Рівні можливості» звернулося до впливових жінок світу з проханням публічно підтримати народного депутата України, члена Постійної делегації в ПАРЄ Надію Савченко та сприяти її звільненню з російської в’язниці
Про це повідомила народний депутат від «Батьківщини» Олена Кондратюк.
«Ми звернулися до екс-держсекретарів США Кондолізи Райс та Мадлен Олбрайт, до Мішель Обами, спеціального представника ОБСЄ з гендерних питань Мелані Вервір, канцлера Німеччини Ангели Меркель, Президента Литви Далі Грибаускайте та інших впливих жінок», – повідомила вона у Facebook.
За словами політика, українські парламентарі просять світових лідерок, які відстоюють права жінок, вжити надзвичайних заходів з метою негайного і безумовного звільнення незаконно засудженої Надії Савченко.
У листах, зокрема, міститься заклик до міжнародного співтовариства звернутися безпосередньо до Володимира Путіна з вимогою звільнити українську льотчицю, адже стан здоров’я Надії Савченко погіршується з кожним днем.
«Надзвичайно важлива підтримка світових лідерів, оскільки лише спільний тиск і єдність дасть результат», – переконана Олена Кондратюк.
Депутат також висловила вдячність тим жінкам-політикам, які вже виступили з вимогою звільнення Надії Савченко, зокрема, Верховному представнику ЄС з зовнішньої політики та безпеки Федеріці Могеріні та кандидату в Президенти США Хілларі Клінтон.

We, the Members of the Parliament of Ukraine representing the Equal Opportunities Inter-Faction Union (Caucus). The Equal Opportunities Caucus, appeal to you, to take emergency measures with the goal of the immediate and unconditional release of the unlawfully sentenced Nadia Savchenko.
The Equal Opportunities Caucus is a union aiming to support promotion of gender equality, strengthening of women’s political participation, and providing legislative support to gender-oriented issues. The Union comprises representatives of both genders in order to provide complex solutions and to secure dialogue in terms of combat of gender discrimination and protection of human rights.
Hence our major goal is to assure protection of human rights, such as right for life, justice and freedom of citizen of Ukraine, brave Nadia Savchenko. We jointly stand for Nadia as a hero and a symbol of Ukrainian resistance against Russian aggression!
The Russian Federation breaches of international law, its own and the Ukrainian legislation, despite the absence of any credible evidence of her being guilty of a crime, in view of irrefutable evidence of her innocence presented by her attorneys to the court and prosecution and her ironclad alibi, continues to illegally detain Savchenko in pretrial facilities.
On March 4th, after being refusing to provide to the final statement and in protest against the proceedings of the Russian court, Nadia Savchenko announced a full hunger strike, refusing both food and fluids. Savchenko has declared a number of hunger strikes during her nearly two years in Russian captivity. Last year she refused food for over 80 days and lost 25 kg in body weight. This time, days without food have put exhausted Nadia at the brink of life and death. Ms Savchenko takes such radical steps primarily to reveal the truth about world’s strongest enemy and threat – Vladimir Putin. Thus, our ability to save her life will test the effectiveness of international diplomacy and our commitment to European values.
Therefore, Members of the Parliament of Ukraine representing the Equal Opportunities Inter-Factional Union as well as representatives of civil society in Ukraine demand the immediate release of Nadiya Savchenko, an illegally detained citizen of Ukraine, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine of the 8th Convocation, a Representative of Ukraine to PACE. We urge international community to address directly Vladimir Putin, to condemn his disreputable behavior neglecting international democratic values and moral principles and to ensure public support to the innocent. Nadia shall have right to live as any person in the world. Immediate actions should be taken, given that Nadia Savchenko’s health condition becomes worse day by day!
We do not ask for mercy in this case but for the partnership and solidarity in the fight against tyranny of President Putin. Release of Nadia Savchenko will be the first victorious step in stand for the supremacy of law and democratic norms. The life of innocent shall be saved!
